In November, I had the privilege of being invited by the Entrepreneurship Centre to take on the role of master of ceremonies at the annual Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Forum. It was an opportunity not just to facilitate proceedings but also to immerse myself in a vibrant atmosphere of entrepreneurial spirit and innovation.

Some highlights from the day included:

Keynote address by Anne Boden

One of my personal highlights from the day was Anne Boden's keynote speech. As the founder of Starling Bank, Anne brought a wealth of experience and insight to the table. She candidly shared reflections of her founding journey which were both inspiring and enlightening. Anne also shared her vision for fostering female entrepreneurship and leadership in the business world.

Her presence underscored the transformative power of progress in the entrepreneurial landscape and set a wonderful tone for the day ahead.

Insightful panel discussions

Throughout the day, a series of thought-provoking panel discussions delved into various facets of innovation and business. From exploring emerging trends in healthcare to tackling pressing challenges of sustainability in the fashion industry, these sessions offered valuable insights and perspectives.

Engaging break conversations

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the event, the break periods provided invaluable opportunities for networking and forging meaningful connections with delegates with diverse professional and personal backgrounds. These interactions reinforced the collective commitment to advancing entrepreneurship as both a viable career path and a catalyst for innovation within the community.

Addressing the energetic crowd of delegates was truly a rewarding experience. Their unwavering passion and enthusiasm for the topics discussed throughout the day were palpable and motivating.

Overall, Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Forum demonstrated the transformative power of entrepreneurship and innovation. It was a privilege to be part of an event that not only celebrated entrepreneurial excellence but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration among like-minded individuals striving to make a difference in the world of business.
