Dr Matthew Amengual, Associate Professor in International Business, has been reappointed to retiring age at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
The tenure recognition has been awarded following extensive evaluation of research output, teaching and service during an initial period of office at the University.
Matthew, who joined Oxford Saïd in September 2018, said of the recognition: ‘I am thrilled to receive tenure at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where I am privileged to have excellent colleagues and students. I am looking forward to continuing to build my research within such an inspiring community of scholars.’
He studies how to promote economic development that is equitable and sustainable and is currently conducting research on improving labour standards in global supply chains.
His research has been published in leading academic journals, including Industrial and Labor Relations Review (where he has been Associate Editor since 2018), Management Science, American Sociological Review, and World Development. Matthew’s first book, Politicized Enforcement in Argentina, was published by Cambridge University Press.
His research is interdisciplinary and spans across multiple fields, including management, political science, and industrial relations.
