Welcoming Kate Foley to the school.
Kate Foley has been appointed Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and will take up her position on 2 November.
Kate, who has built her career in Development over two decades in the Higher Education sector, will join Oxford Saïd from Worcester College, Oxford, where she is Development Director and a Governing Body Fellow.
She has gained a wealth of experience at the universities of Exeter and Aberdeen and as Development Director at St Hugh’s College, Oxford, as well as Worcester College.

Kate comes to us with an outstanding record in fundraising both within and outside of Oxford, and I am looking forward to her working with our teams, as we develop exciting new fundraising priorities.’
Kate said: ‘With a new Dean and Chief Operating Officer having taken up post this year and having just celebrated its 25th anniversary, Saïd Business School is poised to begin an exciting new chapter in its history.

Kate’s work includes, at Worcester College, leading its hugely successful Covid Emergency Appeal, raising £5.5million of new funds in her first seven months in the role, and increasing fundraising participation and alumni engagement.
As Associate Director, Philanthropy and Campaigns at The University of Exeter, Kate led the fundraising team behind the largest campaign in its history, the ‘Making the Exceptional Happen Campaign’, which raised £60m and secured 60,000 volunteer hours a year ahead of target.
As part of the St Hugh’s College £30m 125th Anniversary Campaign, she raised the entire £22m construction costs of The Dickson Poon University of Oxford China Centre Building, opened by the then HRH Duke of Cambridge in 2014.
Kate started her fundraising career in a major gifts capacity at the University of Aberdeen, during Phase II of the ambitious £150 million Sixth Century Campaign.
Kate was awarded an MA from Oxford University in 2022 and lives in Oxfordshire with her family.
