India is on course to be the third largest economy in the world and on Saturday 15 June Saïd Business School is playing host to a landmark event, involving some of India’s most high-profile and influential business leaders – alongside students, business leaders of the future.
The inaugural Oxford India Forum, organised by Oxford students, led by Sidharth Sethi, Saïd Business School MBA student and Priyansh Gujarati, Organic Chemistry Doctoral student, is set to be a fascinating day of debate and discussion around key issues facing India, including environmental responsibility, technology and innovation.

Oxford Saïd’s Dean, Soumitra Dutta, explains the conference is on the theme of ‘Sustainable Futures: Climate, Technology, and Innovation’ and he maintains: ‘India is at the forefront of the global climate challenge with ambitious commitments to reach net zero emissions by 2070. India is investing in indigenous technology and global partnerships to lead in reducing carbon emissions.’
