Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Forum 2021

OSEFx - Build Back Better

OSEFx, a virtual conference that introduced pioneering entrepreneurs and cutting-edge ventures.

The event boasted keynotes by Niklas Zennström, Founding Partner, Atomico and Bracken Darrell, CEO, Logitech as well as discussions with other top industry practitioners such as Jennie Magiera, Global Head of Education Impact, Google and Jane Ross EMEA Education Lead, Zoom Video. Together these delivered the forum’s main objectives: to engage, inform and inspire the vibrant Oxford entrepreneurial community and promote entrepreneurship beyond.

This year, as we consider the world beyond Covid-19, we have thrown the discussion open as wide as we can. Previous editions have brought together some 500 students, entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from around the world at a ticketed conference in Oxford. This year OSEFx was both online and completely free, providing an important opportunity for as many entrepreneurs as possible to consider how we might 'Build back better:' to discuss ideas, connect communities and develop ventures.

For the recovery from the Covid-19 crisis to be durable, a return to ‘business as usual’ is not an option. This means doing more than just getting economies quickly back on their feet. Well-designed recovery measures should help us shift to more responsible business practices and encourage us to greater resilience.

OSEFx aimed to bring together prominent entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders for a meaningful exploration of how we can build a more equitable future for all.
