With only their final term at Oxford Saïd remaining, the Rewley Scholars are thriving
Now into their final term at Saïd Business School, we caught up with some of our Rewley Scholars to find out more about their MBA experience. These important awards are funded by the School’s alumni community and help attract talented students to Oxford Saïd.
Tanishq Gupta, a management consultant focusing on strategy and transformation projects for global banks, investors, and start-ups, believes that technological innovation is the key to addressing the world’s most pressing issues. He’s used his MBA experience so far to learn new ways of thinking from the diverse class and hone his leadership skills in order to effectively navigate complex business problems.
I am deeply honoured to have received the Rewley Scholarship and grateful for the opportunity to attend such a prestigious institution. The scholarship is a testament to the alumni’s commitment to bringing diverse individuals to Oxford.
Aditi Phadnis, an engineer by training with a background in finance and the impact sector, decided to pursue an MBA in order to return to the impact sector as a leader. Her finance background gave her the hard skills and professional qualifications to give her credibility, but by co-chairing the social impact OBN, she’s been able to develop her leadership skills and style.
The Rewley Scholarship gave me the financial freedom to pursue an MBA, but it also gives me the freedom post MBA to make critical choices and freely pursue a career in impact leadership.
James Naisbitt completed a BSc in Marine Science, before working as a hydrographic surveyor constructing subsea gas infrastructure, and then as Party Chief managing teams of surveyors, geophysicists, and electronics techs offshore.
I am committed to becoming a driver of change in the global shift toward renewable energy sources. The Rewley Scholarship gives me the opportunity to earn the requisite business knowledge and exposure that I will need to attain this goal.
