Profile

Stephanie Gnissios is an engineer, entrepreneur, and start-up mentor with a focus on sustainability, impact, and climate.

She established a startup mentorship programme with Oxford University Innovation, pairing business experience with startups and early stage ventures from the Oxford ecosystem. She teaches on the Oxford Strategic Innovation Programme and other programmes on innovation & strategy, and frequently contributes to courses and events on innovation, impact, impact careers, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and climate.

She is a mentor for women in STEM and female founders, particularly those with a focus on impact and sustainability. She is an advisor to female-founded and impact-led startups and early stage ventures across the world, with a particular focus on Africa, and sits as a member of the Advisory Board for a startup in Zimbabwe and another in South Africa. She is an active advocate for gender diversity with a focus on practical support structures to improve diversity.

Stephanie applies her experience in the financial and mining sectors together with an Executive MBA from Said Business School and completion of the Oxford Impact Measurement Programme to the climate risk advisory firm she cofounded, Climate Risk Services bringing together asset-based consulting with enterprise-level software solutions to embed climate as a factor to strategic decision-making and financial management.
