Sophie Landry

The EIB is the lending arm of the European Union and one of the largest providers of climate finance. Her role encompasses devising the investment strategy for fixed-income portfolios for EIB and third parties, chairing the investment committees, and overseeing the strategy implementation.

Previously, as a Managing Director with NatWest, Sophie and her team worked with banks, insurers, specialised lenders and asset managers on liquidity and capital solutions and arranged Debt Capital Market issues.

Sophie has more than 20 years of experience with major investment banks in leadership and trading roles. She worked in London, Paris, Berlin and Frankfurt before moving to Luxembourg.

Sophie served as an Independent Member of the Finance and Estates Committee of the University Roehampton.

Sophie earned a Bachelor from Sciences Po Lyon and a Master in Management and Finance from the University of Strasbourg with Honours and Scholarship. She qualified as Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) in 2004. She graduated with an executive MBA (distinction) from Oxford University in 2019 and is an alumnus of The Queen’s College.
