Profile

Richard is a strategic relationship management specialist who shares knowledge and experience to help businesses and their leaders to transform their performance.

He achieves this through the design and delivery of tailored, high impact client, sponsor and partner relationship education programmes.

He is a former Partner of the global professional services firm PwC LLP. He is a qualified banker with over thirty five years of strategy, business and commercial experience. His strength is his ability to build and grow enduring business relationships.

He has extensive leadership experience in the investment, corporate and retail banking sectors. His Partner roles have included, Head of the Financial Services Risk Management Advisory business, Co-Head of Financial Services Conduct and Culture and various Client Lead Relationship Partner roles. Most recently he led an innovation group, exploring the use of digital solutions to transform the way organisations operate, manage risk and put the customer at the centre of what they do.

Before joining PwC, Richard spent five years with KPMG as a management consultant and prior to that, he held a number of broad ranging management positions across the Barclays Bank group including Corporate Banking and Group Risk.

He has worked with boards, committees and senior executives of some of the world’s largest organisations in times of growth and of crisis and is able to deliver the necessary challenge, or act as a trusted confidant, depending on the circumstance. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) and an alumnus of the Strategic Leadership Programme, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, Green Templeton College.
