Elias is responsible for directing Hermes GPE's innovation-led growth investing globally, as well as the investment strategy function, including global markets research, portfolio construction and exploring new areas in private markets.
He also serves as the portfolio manager of the Hermes GPE Environmental Innovation Fund, a specialist growth equity/venture capital fund focused on sustainable growth.
Elias joined Hermes GPE in 2011 and is a member of the company's Investment and Management Committees. Previously, Elias served in management roles with Bridgewater Associates and Citigroup Global Markets. He sits on a number of corporate boards as a director and observer, as well as several private equity fund advisory boards. Elias is a Board member of Invest Europe, the association representing Europe’s private equity and venture capital sectors, and their investors.
Elias is a Greek national and he speaks fluent Greek, English, French and conversational Italian. He is also an alumnus of the University of Warwick (BSc in Economics and International Studies), the London School of Economics (MSc in European Political Economy), and Harvard Business School (Program for Leadership Development).
