Profile

David was formerly Senior Editor for Business and Management books at Oxford University Press.

Over 25 years, he developed a wide-ranging and highly regarded academic list, which included work by leading management scholars and social scientists; several prize-winning books; and over 60 volumes in the Oxford Handbook series.

In that time, David developed a close working relationship with Saïd Business School, publishing work by several members of the teaching team. He was the instigator, and co-organiser with the School, of the annual Clarendon Lectures in Management Studies, which bring leading management scholars to Oxford to give a series of lectures. This was later developed into a book published by Oxford University Press.

David has extensive knowledge of management education and research, and publishing in this area. He has given presentations on these themes at the Academy of Management, and at several leading business schools and academic conferences. He has recently been invited to serve on the judging panel for the newly established European Group for Organization Studies' book prize.

David has a degree in social and political sciences from Cambridge and an MBA from Imperial College.
