Profile

Anastasiya has a career focused on strategy, innovation and financial technology and has worked globally in private and start-up sectors.

She began her career in New York in investment banking and has since found her passion for innovation. Over time, she transitioned to focus on financial technology and on developing and implementing new company-wide systems and products aimed at process improvement.

Anastasiya is currently the Global Head of Ecosystem Partnerships within Group Innovation Office at Barclays in London. Prior to this role, she set up and managed innovation projects, such as proof of concepts and pilots, to test the viability of implementing emerging technologies within the bank. Anastasiya then served as Head of Rise London and oversaw the London Fintech ecosystem for Barclays. In her current role, she works with areas of the bank to help define their respective strategies. She then leverages these insights to build meaningful global partnerships and initiatives to drive collaboration, open innovation and the development of future solutions.

Anastasiya is a frequent keynote speaker on subjects including financial technology and innovation within financial services. She mentors on the Oxford Women in Business Network and is also passionate about leveraging technology for financial inclusion and is developing a platform to improve financial education for women.

Anastasiya earned her MBA from the University from Oxford and holds a BA degree in Finance and Economics from Pace University in New York. She also received the TechWomen100 Award 2022, which celebrates the top women in technology in the UK.

Teaching

Anastasiya is one of the experts appearing on the Oxford FinTech Certificate programme, an immersive online modular programme exploring evolution and application of financial technology. She also regularly teaches on the Fintech elective course for the MBA and EMBA programmes.
