Alexian Wines

She brings a unique and distinguished background to Oxford, having served eight years at the White House holding a range of prestigious positions under presidents Bill Clinton and George W Bush. During her tenure there, Alexian earned a rare view into the inner workings of numerous federal agencies, as well as the US Congress. As a member of the National Security Council, she played a key role in coordinating and implementing the presidents’ agendas and frequently accompanied President George W Bush on international trips to promote his foreign policies. In this capacity, she gained unique insights into the importance and need for diplomacy at all levels. As a political appointee in the White House Counsel’s Office, Alexian acted on the front lines as liaison between the executive and legislative branches of government.

Alexian is passionate about working with students and leadership teams. As a motivational speaker with high school and college students, she coaches and inspires them in achieving excellence with academic and personal goals, and regularly mentors fellow colleagues at BGA in the US and internationally.

She sits on multiple boards including Women Lifting Women, the Trade Impact Foundation and previously the Organization of Women in International Trade and Patriots Four. She is also a founding member of Chief DC, a private network focused on connecting and supporting female executive leaders. Alexian earned her Executive Master’s in Business Administration from Georgia State University and studied American Government at the University of Virginia.
