- Now is a great time to study the Oxford private equity programme because there's been an awful lot happening in the sector over the last few years. The private equity programme is for anyone who's interested in the private equity sector, both buyouts and venture capital. In practise, that tends to be people who are investors. And maybe they're starting to move into the private equity sector. It can be people running businesses who are thinking about tapping private equity for investment. And it can also be people working for professional service firms as well who are now starting to find private equity clients. It's a very difficult sector to understand. And there's a lot of particular aspects of the way that funds are raised and the way that they're organised and the decisions you have to make, which is really a specialist subject. And I think we bring to that a range of expertise, not just from myself but from our guest speakers, which really gives people a sort of state of the art understanding. - There's a blend between the academic and then also the real life and the practical. And I think the course really succeeds in teaching both of these. I think we've got a creative way of approaching private equity and venture capital. And what I do is lift the lid on that, which we don't often do with people. And I think they'll come away with some really interesting insights from that. - That gives you the information that is necessary. This is a new component because ESG has gone from nice to have to must have. So I'm bringing the practitioner's view on what you have to do, what you might want to do, and what best in practise would look like. - I talk about fund structures and economics, the relationship between the general partner and its investors, and new developments in the private equity space. It's important to keep up with this evolving space. And so there's a lot of innovation going on. And as people kind of approach investing in private equity or sponsoring private equity funds, they need to understand what trends are happening now. - I've loved all of the modules we've had so far. The core curriculum is really strong and is a real deep dive into private equity and sort of strategic decisions around why these transactions are done more and more. - If you are on the job, you are very much focused on what you do and I wanted to understand a little bit the whole sphere of private capital. So not only the deals I'm doing but the whole GP/LP view. It was a good combination of academic excellence and pragmatism and realistic examples. - I've been working quite a bit with startups and venture capitalists and private equity and angel investors and I really wanted a 360-degree view into the world of private equity. I didn't only get the 360 view but also very founded academic research and very good cases and an amazing exposure to amazing people from all over the world. And I don't know where to stop, to be honest. - It's spectacular. Amazing. And if you're looking for somewhere where you can gain, you know, all the experiences in order to be able to start up the fund and then scale it on to acquiring capital, deploying capital, and to exit, Oxford Said Business School is the right place to go.
