Peter Tufano in conversation with Hiro Mizuno

Episode 6

In episode 6, the Dean of Saïd Business School, Peter Tufano, talks to one of the world’s foremost leaders in asset management, Hiro Mizuno.

Until recently, Hiro was the Chief Investment Officer of Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund. For those of you who don’t know GPIF, it’s the largest asset owner in the world and is currently valued at 1.6 trillion dollars.

Hiro is a true leader, incorporating environment, social and governance – or ESG – considerations into the management of portfolios. ESG covers things like cutting emissions and securing equal pay for workers. Incorporating these elements into investment management seems like a natural thing to do, right? But it’s not. And Hiro Mizuno has been at the vanguard of making sure investors think holistically about all of this.

Featuring:

Hiro Mizuno, Board of PRI; member of the World Economic Forum Global Future Council; Global Leadership Council of Saïd Business School, University of Oxford; CFA Institute Future of Finance advisory council.
