Former student, and CEO of Innohub, Nelson Amo has won two 40 under Forty Africa awards.
Nelson Amo, a graduate of the Oxford Social Finance Programme, has won the Investment category of the 40 under Forty Africa awards, for his dedication to supporting small and growing businesses (SGBs). In addition to the investment award, Nelson also won the ‘People’s Choice Award’ for his work.
Nelson is CEO of Innohub, an impact investment platform working out of Ghana, that helps businesses across Africa scale up by securing investments. He also Founded Accra Angels Network, with objective of connecting SGBs with angel investors. Nelson also serves as an Executive Committee Member of Impact Investing Ghana, the local chapter of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investments.
Reflecting on his achievement, Nelson said:
‘Having spent the past seven years supporting small businesses to become investment ready and matching them to investment sources, it is incredibly rewarding to receive this recognition. I am driven by the desire to increase investments into SGBs in Ghana and across Africa, having led my own company to sponsor middle-finance vehicles like Wangara Green Ventures and Accra Angels Network. The 40 under Forty awards are a great recognition of my contributions, and they energise me to build further on this success.’
