US Department of Veterans Affairs funding

The University of Oxford can process applications for US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) funding (also known as the GI Bill or Post 9/11 Bill) and can complete certificates of enrolment.

Loans

Eligibility for loan funding is often dependent on your country of residence or nationality. The table shows the most common loans available to our students. However, we cannot list everything and recommend you undertake your own research.  

UK government doctoral loans

Available for UK and EU students on the DPhil in Management and DPhil in Finance programmes.

UK government master's loans

Available for UK and EU students on the following programmes: 

  • Executive MBA
  • MBA
  • MSc in Financial Economics
  • MSc in Major Programme Management

US federal loans

Oxford is eligible to certify US federal loans. The following programmes may be eligible:

  • DPhil in Finance
  • DPhil in Management
  • MBA
  • MSc in Financial Economics
  • MSc in Major Programme Management

Please be aware that there are strict eligibility guidelines around which electives and options you can take for these courses, as well as other eligibility requirements, which you would need to comply with. 

US private loans

Oxford is eligible to certify US private loans. The following programmes may be eligible:

  • DPhil in Finance
  • DPhil in Management
  • Executive Diplomas
  • Executive MBA
  • MBA
  • MSc in Financial Economics
  • MSc in Global Healthcare Leadership
  • MSc in Major Programme Management

Other loans

Other education-specific loans are also available.

External loan providers

Earnest

  • US citizen or possess a ten-year (non-conditional) Permanent Resident Card.
  • Variable and fixed rates.
  • Nine-month grace period after graduation.
  • Four repayment options while attending school.
  • No fees.

Eligible programmes and loan amounts:

  • MBA, Executive MBA, MSc and Diploma programmes.
  • Loans to cover course fees and cost of living.

Lendwise

  • Primarily available to UK residents but applications accepted from other European or International candidates on a case-by-case basis.
  • No co-signer, collateral or guarantees required.
  • No early repayment penalties.
  • Application assessed on your overall profile, not just your credit score.
  • Fixed interest rate for the term of your loan, personalised to you.
  • Applications are to be made directly to Lendwise.

Eligible programmes and loan amounts:

  • All Saïd Business School programmes (part time and full time).
  • Borrow from £5,000 to £100,000 for up to 10 years.
  • Borrow up to 85% of course fees as well as certain living costs.
  • Up to six months grace period available after studies before repayments start (full time courses only, subject to approval).

Prodigy Finance

  • Available to 150 nationalities.
  • No co-signer, collateral or guarantees required.
  • No early repayment penalties.
  • Conditions apply based on individual assessment.
  • Cross-border credit assessment.

Eligible programmes and loan amounts:

  • MBA: borrow up to 100% of course fees plus living costs.
  • Executive MBA: borrow up to 80% of course fees.
  • MSc in Major Programme Management: borrow up to 80% of course fees plus living costs.
  • MSc in Financial Economics: borrow up to 100% of course fees plus living costs. 

Spark Finance

  • Available to Australian and New Zealand students.
  • No co-signer, collateral or guarantees required.
  • No early repayment penalty.
  • Application assessed on overall profile.
  • Earn up to 1% off your loan by achieving certain criteria.

Eligible programmes and loan amounts:

  • All Saïd Business School programmes (part time and full time).
  • Borrow up to 100% of course fees.
  • Grace period on repayments of up to six months after completion of study (full time courses only and subject to approval).
