Executive MBA taster lecture: the policy movement around women on boards

About the event

Join us for an Executive MBA taster lecture

In this session, learn more about the Oxford Executive MBA programme by joining Renée Adams, Professor of Finance, who will discuss the policy movement around women on boards.

Together we will investigate whether the policies worked. Alejandra de Rojas, Recruitment Manager, will also share an overview of the programme and give you an opportunity to ask questions.

Meet Renée Adams

Renée B Adams is a Professor of Finance at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Her work is interdisciplinary and lies at the intersection between economics, finance, management and psychology. She is interested in group decision-making and how group identity (typically gender), information, culture, preferences and values moderate decision-making.

She is currently working on the status of women in art and academia and exploring comic-making as a tool for conveying scientific ideas that challenge people’s beliefs. Her interest in gender is not limited to research. She co-founded AFFECT, the American Finance Association’s Women’s Committee, in 2015, and chaired it until 2020. In 2022, she created and taught the first ever MBA and Executive MBA classes on diversity and inclusion at Saïd Business School.
