Profile

Luke Graham is an entrepreneur and interdisciplinary research executive in built environment innovation. His prevailing research interest is the effect of macrotrends of the coming century on real estate, the world’s largest asset class.

Luke entered the real estate sector following six years serving as an engineering sailor in the Royal Australian Navy. Beginning with underwriting housing investments (with research methods in demographics and real estate economics), Luke expanded his methods to integrate urban sociology, economic history, organisational behaviour and innovation theory in order to address the multifaceted challenges facing the built environment.

After merging and exiting his company First Link Property in 2018, Luke pursued further education including an Executive MBA at Saïd Business School. This led to a role with Oxford’s Future of Real Estate Initiative where he co-authored industry research on technology-enabled transactions and asset valuation. In 2021, Luke was appointed to lead the research department of Pi Labs, Europe’s most active venture capital firm specialising in technology disrupting the built environment. In 2023, Luke chaired the UK Housing Minister’s PropTech Roundtable and continues to advise government and NGO entities including the UK’s Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
