Saïd Business School and HEC Montréal have renewed their commitment to offer scholarships and research positions to exceptional graduates.
A special event hosted by HEC Montréal celebrated new funding of more than $2 million (Canadian) in scholarships, supported by donations from the HEC Montréal Foundation. Jean Chagnon, an alumnus from both institutions, is the key driver of the partnership.
The unique collaboration has funded six full-time scholarships through the Oxford Saïd-HEC Montréal Scholarship programme since 2019, including a sustainability research fellow position. The scholarships and research position are available to Oxford Saïd and HEC Montréal graduates and tenable at St. Edmund Hall at the University of Oxford.
The cooperation has also launched the Measuring Beyond programme, a joint initiative between Oxford Saïd and HEC Montréal. The research collaboration helps businesses by providing crucial ESG metrics and evaluation criteria to create more sustainable enterprises and economies. Begun in 2019, the initiative has helped support the creation of sustainable reporting methods through the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). Oxford Saïd professors, Amir Amel-Zadeh and Juliana Reineke, will participate in the Measuring Beyond conference at HEC Montréal on February 14.
